    Location: Perinium/Base of Spine

The Root Chakra affects lower back, hips, legs, and sexual organs.

This energy center provides calcium to the bone structure and the skeletal system. It also balance the kidneys and the urinary tract system. It is the first Chakra in our life and resides at the base of the spine. This Chakra holds our basic needs for security, safety, and survival. 

The Root Chakra is significantly related to our connection to the Earth assisting us in grounding to the Earth Plane. 

If this Chakra is blocked one may experience feelings of insecurity, nervousness, fearfulness, frustration and a loss of self confidence. This Chakra also affects issues such as obesity, anorexia nervosa, and knee pain.
